ImportBrain

Early access

Operational software for Ghanaian importers: orders, suppliers, shipments and landed cost calculated per unit rather than guessed.

Batches — A shipment is the unit of work. Goods, freight, duty and handling all attach to it.
Landed cost — Per-unit cost recalculated as charges land, in GHS, at the rate actually paid.

ImportBrain exists because a batch arrived in two shipments with three separate clearing charges, and the spreadsheet could no longer say what one power bank had cost. Client work is held to that standard.

Straight to the engineer

The person writing the code answers the phone on 0556137400. You describe the problem once, to the person who will solve it.

Built where the constraints are real

Bolgatanga, not Accra. I know what a parcel actually costs to move north, which payment habits hold up, and what breaks when the network goes. That knowledge ends up in the software.

How an engagement runs

Five stages, and what you get at each

Engagement terms · agreed in writing before anything is built

01 Describe Call or write and explain the problem in your own words. A paragraph is enough to start.

02 Scope An initial assessment within one working day. Then an agreed scope and price, in writing, before anything is built — after a short discovery call when the work is complex — or a plain no, with the reason. Changes are documented and priced before they are built, never after.

03 Build Working software in increments you can use and react to, rather than a reveal at the end.

04 Ship The first version goes out early and imperfect. Bugs get fixed where you can see them.

05 Improve You end with the code, the documentation, and the same number you have been calling all along.
